Day 3: Cherry blossoms

We saw this gorgeous look on Sephora’s nail blog, and just had to try it out ourselves. We decided to use a mint green instead of the sky blue as the base color.

What we used:

LAQA & CO Nail Polish Pen in Squid Ink, $14.95

Milani Nail Art Lacquer with Precision Brush in Black Sketch, $3.99

• Pink and white rhinestones

Sparitual True Bond Topcoat, $15

How we got the look:

Step 1. Anna applied three coats of the base color using the nail polish pen. (Make sure you let it dry between coats for a smooth, even base.)

Step 2. Once the polish was dry, she painted the branches on each nail with a fine-tipped black brush.

Step 3. Using tweezers, Anna placed a rhinestone at the tip of each branch, and then placed rhinestones around the center stone to create one or two small cherry blossoms on each nail.

Step 4.To finish, Anna painted the entire nail with a coat of clear nail polish to secure the rhinestones in place.
