The Beatles

Calling this British band “popular” would be the understatement of the century. The Beatles pretty much set the standard for “boy bands” in the decades to come. Even after the band broke up in 1970, their music still remains a huge influence on girls today. And their famous bowl haircuts were really rebellious at the time, making them even more crush-worthy. An obsessed fan shares: “I was about 12 or 13 when ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ came out. I remember going to the movie theater and everyone just screaming — throughout the entire movie. You couldn’t hear the music or anything. All we did was scream. It’s so silly when I think about it, but I loved John Lennon.” — Liz F.
