I was feeling a preppy, tomboy-ish “J.Crew” outfit so I decided to compensate by adding a little “feminine something” to my usual look. I did a natural smoky eye with several colors in the Tarte Femme Naturale eye shadow palette (which comes with directions, by the way), $44. Then I went for a slightly rosy lip by scribbling on a berry-red Lancome lip liner, $24.50, and smearing the color around with my finger. I took a berry Lancome Juicy Tube, $18, with me for touch-ups.
