Between the 2013 Golden Globes, “Downton Abbey,” and the season premiere of “Girls,” your DVRs were probably in overdrive last night. And while there was plenty to choose from, TV-wise, if you were in need of a major red carpet fashion and beauty fix, we hope you tuned into the Globes, because they did not disappoint.

But before we dive into all the red carpet eye candy, let’s take a moment to remember a few of the non-fashion moments that we’re still reeling from. There was Amy Poehler’s James Cameron burn (“When it comes to torture, I trust the woman who was married to James Cameron for three years”), Jodie Foster’s sentimental (and quasi-rambling) speech, and of course Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig who win the award for most hilarious presenter speech. Ever.
And while the Golden Globes get a bad rap for having a snoozy red carpet (most actresses save their daring stuff for the Academy Awards), this year there were actually some fashion and beauty daredevils whose risks paid off.
