It’s mainly to prevent cross-contamination in the products and makeup brushes, but “it also allows actors to have a personal preference when it comes to what we use on them,” says Lljubo-O’Brien. And on the set of “Sons of Anarchy,” almost every character has tattoos the makeup artists have to re-apply every day. “We make sure to keep those separate in each actor’s bag so they don’t get mixed up,” says Anderson.
