Call time is when?!
There’s a reason it takes that long to get ready — each actor goes through an intensive skincare routine every morning. First, the makeup artist preps the actor’s skin with an aloe liquid base to soothe any redness. Then, each actor gets her own special signature “skin cocktail” depending on her skin, says Lljubo-O’Brien. For example, Gillian Jacobs’ from “Community” gets a mix of Osmotics Cosmeceuticals Lipofill Non-Surgical Filler, $85, and Osmotics Cosmeceuticals Crease-less Surgical Alternative, $85.
And not many people know this, but the actors also come in and get a full cleansing before they go home at night. “We remove all of their makeup, and then cleanse their face and apply hot towels,” says Lljubo-O’Brien.
