Beauty Dare: Hair Extensions

Raise your hand if you dream about having long, thick hair like Kim Kardashian’s.

Yep, I’m right there with you. Every time I see someone with super long or thick hair, I become the green-eyed monster. Having thin hair meant I could never copy the looks I saw on the red carpet (which killed me inside, because celebrity hairstyles are just so gorgeous).

Well, here’s some breaking news for ya — it’s all fake. As in, that’s not their own hair (most of the time, at least). Their secret weapon? Hair extensions. With the help of extensions, celebs can go from short and fine to long and thick in seconds. Even ponytails look better with extensions.

Luckily, you can find hair extensions pretty much anywhere. They’ll let you instantly change your look … if you wear them correctly, that is. But if you don’t wear them the right way, they can lead to matted knots or (gasp!) bald spots — just ask Britney Spears. The trick is to make them believable, whether you use real human hair or synthetic hair and apply with clip-ins or hair bonding.

So if you thought you could never pull off a look like Kim Kardashian or Eva Longoria, it’s time to try clip in hair extensions. They make it so easy for us to get the look we’ve been dreaming about for so long. So what are you waiting for? See how one editor created 10 easy looks using her hair extensions.
