Day Six: Twisted Sister
Got a casual outdoor party to attend? I often just go with my natural texture and in the words of Tim Gunn, try to “Make it work.”
Get the look:
Let hair dry naturally to achieve your natural texture. Now create a middle or side part and begin a French braid using only TWO pieces. It’s really more of a twist, but the methodology of creating the look is the same as with the French braid. Pick up two pieces, pull the right over the left (so the twist goes away from your face), then when you twist the left over the right, also pick up a piece of hair from your hairline to tuck the twist close to your head. The twist should go the length of your hairline, stopping just above your ear. Join the two pieces in the back with a small clear elastic band. It should look like you are a wearing a twisted flower wreath around your head.
