Cuts with sexy curves
Helena Christensen’s medium-length, bi-level haircut (the way the front forms a “C” around the face is a clue that it’s a bi-level) and the short, side-swept bangs would look awesome today. “I’d update it by styling it straighter, and I’d give it longer bangs,” Decuers says. Here’s how to get the perfect sideswept bang:
Step 1: Ask your stylist for asymmetrical bangs. “They’ll fall to the side easier if they’re cut on an angle,” Decuers says. Get them cut 1/2-inch longer than Helena’s.
Step 2: Blow dry your bangs in the opposite direction you want them to end up; when they’re almost dry, blow them the correct way. They’ll lay perfectly.
Step 3: Use your fingers to break your bangs up a bit and mist on some aerosol hairspray like Bumble and bumble Does It All Styling Spray, $28.99.
