And not only can sizing vary, but also the way the dress falls on your body. So don’t freak if the first dress you try on doesn’t work. It might take 15 dresses before you find a good fit.
If you’re not ready to take the full plunge, keep this tidbit in mind. “Everything can be altered. If you find a long ’70s dress that you love, but want to make it more modern, cut off the length and have it hemmed,” says Easley.
