Look No. 1: Go mod for the office

The ’60s are back … well, for fashion at least. The mod look has returned and we couldn’t be more excited. Who doesn’t appreciate a great vintage throwback, especially when it involves super flattering structured dresses? What you should look for: A-line dresses, color blocking, geometric shapes, and black and white color combos. For example, this flattering A-line dress on Claire is a great outfit for the office, and a fun way to experiment with the mod trend.

Paired with tights and black booties, Claire’s look is a perfect choice for when the weather turns crisper. “Adding a brightly colored jacket (round buttons will add a mod accent) can bring some punch to the look,” says fashion editor and stylist Stephanie Rygorsky.

As for accessories, an interesting, oversized ring adds a touch of elegance to the overall look. You don’t want to look too “costume-y,” so avoid blingy accessories like chunky bangles or over-the-top jewelry. And if you’re into bags, the briefcase-shaped handbag (in a muted color) is a really hot trend this fall, says Rygorsky.
