Here’s what happens when I try to “budget shop”: I see tons of gorgeous summer dresses that are way out of my price range. Then I find one measly dress that looks like it’s been sitting on the sale rack since 1960. But hey, it’s cheap and cute enough, so I’ll take it.
Sigh, why wasn’t I born as a celebrity? It would be way easier for me to blow my entire savings on clothes if I could afford it. Thanks, life. But seriously, shouldn’t it be illegal to be this hard to find a gorgeous summer dress for a bargain? It’s simple: I want a dress, and I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on one.

I’m done with walking out of every store empty-handed (after frantically flipping through the racks to find the cheapest dress they have, trying to ignore the evil stares from the workers). So I decided to talk to fashion stylist Stephanie Prommer to help me find 12 perfect-for-summer dresses that are both cute and affordable.
