Same deal with your hair, you want it to work with, not against, your dress. Sunshine-Antonioni has some guidelines: “If you’re wearing a slim-cut dress you can have more volume to your hair, but if you’re wearing a fuller dress, go for a smoother hairstyle. If it’s a one-shoulder dress, try a softer hairstyle swept to the side [without the strap].”

The most important thing to remember: “Think about the total package; think about the look from a distance. Take a few steps back from the mirror and make sure it all works together,” she says.
