“We saw a lot of mixed prints at Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler and Miu Miu. I love the idea of applying this trend when shopping for swimwear. Try a floral print with a stripe. Play with mixing prints in the same color family. When mixing intricate prints, try to keep one of the prints in a neutral shade. When done right, this is a high fashion look that you can get on a budget from stores like H&M, Forever21 or Target.”

Basically, you can mix and match a floral top and a striped bottom (or vice versa) from any bathing suit store and have people thinking you spent way too much money on your swimsuit — in a good way. Bonus: the odds of another girl on the beach having the same suit just downgraded to nil.
