While we agree that Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week is totally about seeing new fashion trends hit the runway (and finding out all of the backstage secrets), we also love seeing which celebrities fill the front row and mingle with designers backstage. The variety of A-listers just gets better every year, and we were taken aback by the number of famous faces we spotted in New York this month.
Putting aside the fact that we’re totally jealous of the fact that they get paid to sit in the front row and get to attend the hippest after-parties, we couldn’t help but stare and gawk whenever we ran into them backstage. They’re just so … gorgeous. And fashionable. And perfect-looking. Sigh.

But we didn’t waste any time feeling sorry for ourselves. Instead, we made notes on what worked and didn’t work, so we can share them with you. And this year, they really dressed to impress. From soft, muted colors to sharp, eye-catching styles, we spotted so many gorgeously dressed celebs. Way too many to list, but we’ve rounded up a few of our favorites — 15 to be exact. The stars we just had to feature in our gallery include: Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, Heidi Klum, Whitney Port, Katie Holmes, Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Ashley Tisdale, Kristin Cavallari, Ashley Greene, Claire Danes and Ashlee Simpson.
