’90s Fashion Trends We Miss

No. 9: Jelly Shoes

Ah, jelly shoes. The most ubiquitous sandal during the ’90s. Cute and colorful and made of PVC plastic, the trend in the ’80s was to wear jellies with socks. But by the ’90s, girls opted to go sockless and instead started sweating it out in their plastic jellies. The only downside? Sand always got stuck in them on the school playground.

Confession:
“I remember getting my first pair of jellies, which were the pink sandals with a strap. These were my favorite since I was obsessed with pink, and I tried to match them with every other pink outfit I had in my closet.” — Devran M.
