Street Style: L.A. Flea Market

Want to keep up with the latest fashion trends? Don’t know what to wear with those acid washed high-waisted cutoffs? When we’ve got these questions, we head to the flea market — but not just any flea market. Every Sunday, thousands of people flock to the Melrose Trading Post, a large, outdoor flea market located in Los Angeles. And while you’ll find your fair share of pots, picture frames, and old postcards, you’ll also see some of the best L.A. street style.

It sounds strange — when we think of flea markets grungy jeans and tees generally come to mind — but the Melrose Trading Post is kind of like a runway. Girls of all styles, from punk to boho to retro, walk the rows, often picking up a few treasures along the way. So it was no surprise that we hit up the flea market for our latest street style fashion feature.

We spent the day at the Melrose Trading Post tracking down the most fashionable girls, snapping their photos, and getting them to spill their secrets. Besides revealing where they like to shop, they also talked about their coolest fashion flea market finds, their style, and shopping obsessions. Get ready to be inspired by these looks, and if you’re ever in the L.A. area, now you know where to go when it comes to people watching.
