Using Instant Makeover

If nothing happens in your Web browser window after you login, try hitting your Refresh or Reload button. If the screen is still blank, you should probably check to make sure you have the most recent version of Flash Player installed on your computer (most computers come with Flash Player already installed, but your computer might be older and require updating of your Flash plugin). You can update your version of Flash at:

Photo Size: if you are getting an error message telling you your "file exceeds 200k", this means that your photo takes up more than the 200k limit on disk. You can use your photo editing software to resave the photo at a lower resolution until it takes up less than 200k of diskspace. Or, you can take another photo with your digital camera with the camera set for a lower resolution (usually 72dpi is good). Then try uploading again, and you should no longer see the error message.

GETTING A DIGITAL PHOTO OF YOURSELF
1) If you have a digital camera, just take a nice, well-lit, close-up picture of your face and download the picture from your camera to your computer. Set your camera to a lower resolution (like 72 dpi) so that the photo will not exceed 200k of diskspace.
2) If you have a scanner, just scan a print photo of your face. Scan at a lower resolution (like 72 dpi) so that the photo will no exceed the limit of 200k of diskspace.
3) If you don't have a scanner or digital camera, that's OK! Take your picture with a regular camera. Take the film in for processing at someplace like Walgreen's and ask for a copy of your photos on CD-ROM in addition to prints.
