Jessica Alba's fresh, colorful, spring-perfect look.
The arrival of spring turns a girl's thoughts to pastel eyeshadows and petal-fresh lipcolor. (What, you thought we were going to say "butterflies and romance?") Jessica's look goes for a pink-pretty face paired with an unexpected eyeshadow. The trick to copying this look for yourself is to pick an eyeshadow in a shade that compliments (vs matches) your eyecolor. Blue: try orange or violet. Green: coral or pink. Hazel: blue or lilac. Brown: anything but brown (like Jessica, who's wearing green).

FACE |
| Foundation /
Concealer
Start with clean, exfoliated skin. After allowing moisturizer to soak in, use a light-coverage, sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer to even out skin where necessary.
Apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Apply a small amount of concealer to the eyelid as an eyeshadow base.
Apply pressed powder, in a shade matching your foundation, generously over concealer and lightly over foundation.
| Blush |
Apply a petal pink or peach blush. Apply color on the apples of your cheeks if your face is full, or higher on the cheekbones if your face is slim. Blend well.
| EYES |
| Eyelid |
Apply a very sheer pearly color from the lid to the crease. |
| Crease |
Apply a tan or khaki matte shade in the crease--this sets off the color on your lid beautifully.
| Hilite |
Use a delicate vanilla or nude lightly on the brow bone. Use just enough to brighten your eyes. Blend very well.
| Eyeliner |
This looks requires no eyeliner! But if you want to look a little fresher than usual, you can line the inner rim of your lower lid with a white eyeliner pencil (like Jessica has done).
If your eyes seem to "blah" to you without liner, try lining them with the very lightest shade of brown that you can tolerate. Line just in between the eyelashes with the thinnest line possible. You can also trace the inner corner of your eye also for a little extra pop. |
Brows |
Choose a pencil or powder that is just a bit darker than your hair color. Start by defining the arch of each brow. Step back and look at your entire face in the mirror, and then fill in the rest of the brow as necessary.
Lashes |
Curl the upper lashes. Coat upper and lower lashes two or three times with a black thickening mascara. This look can support that third coat of mascara.
LIPS |
To get glass-smooth lips, try brushing them very gently with an old, soft toothbrush. Then apply petroleum jelly and allow it to soak in for 30 or more minutes.
Choose a sheer lip color in a petal pink or peach shade that coordinates with your blush. Apply the color in very light layers until you get a blushed lip look. Next apply a coat or two of clear or tinted gloss.
