Lindsay Lohan's Hollywood starlet look
Lindsay Lohan has gone from cute little kid to Hollywood starlet in nothing flat. When you want to look as fresh and confident as Lindsay, balance is the key. No single feature should dominate (a secret Marilyn Monroe knew better than anyone). Pastel eyes, rosy cheeks and kissable lips--it's a look that just about anyone can wear when they want a touch of glamour.

FACE |
| Foundation /
Concealer
Start with clean, exfoliated skin. After allowing moisturizer to soak in, apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Apply a small amount of concealer to the eyelid as an eyeshadow base.
Use a light-coverage, sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer to even out skin where necessary.
Apply pressed powder, in a shade matching your foundation, generously over concealer and then lightly over the rest of your face after you've applied your blush.
| Blush |
Apply a light pink or rose blush. Apply color on the apples of your cheeks if your face is full like Lindsay, or higher on the cheekbones if your face is slim. Blend well.
| EYES |
| Eyelid |
Apply a sheer, pearly white shadow from the lid to the crease. You can use a very light pastel shade like pink or blue if you prefer.
Next sweep a touch of this shade along the lower lash line. Finally, add a touch in the inner corners of your eyes. |
| Crease |
Apply a light neutral shadow in the crease from corner to corner. Blend very well.
| Hilite |
Use a light nude shade sparingly on the browbone. Use just enough to brighten your eyes. Blend very well.
| Eyeliner |
Use pencil or powder in charcoal or black. Pencil should be very sharp. Powder should be applied with a damp angled brush.
Lightly line the outer three-quarters of the top lash line, getting in between the lashes. Repeat on the lower lashes. Apply a very thin line, just enough to emphasize your eyes and create the appearance of fuller lashes.
You can lightly blur the line with your finger or a cosmetic sponge for a more delicate effect. |
Brows |
Use a brow wax or powder with a small brush, or a sharp pencil, to shape and fill in. Choose a shade as close to your hair color as possible, or just a bit darker.
Start by defining the arch of each brow. Step back and look at your entire face in the mirror, and then fill in the rest of the brow as necessary.
Lashes |
Curl the upper lashes. Coat upper and lower lashes two or three times with a black thickening mascara.
If you want the full glam-girl effect, apply false lashes to the upper lid. Falsies take practice!
LIPS |
To get glass-smooth lips, try brushing them very gently with an old, soft toothbrush. Then apply petroleum jelly and allow it to soak in for 30 or more minutes.
Choose a sheer pink, rose, berry or poppy lip liner and lipstick. Apply one coat of the lipstick and blot with tissue, then apply a second coat. Then, line the lips if necessary.
Top with a coat of clear gloss.
