Carmen Electra's low-maintenance glam
Before there was Paris Hilton, there was Carmen Electra. Some girls were just born to live in the limelight, party hearty and drop jaws. The wild child, herself, has said that life isn’t worth living unless there’s a camera around. The great thing about Carmen’s version of glam is that it’s actually fairly low maintenance. The trick is to emphasize the eyes and gloss-up the lips.

Concealer
|
Start with clean, exfoliated skin. After allowing moisturizer to soak in, apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Apply a small amount of concealer to the eyelid as an eyeshadow base.
Use a light-coverage, sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer to even out skin where necessary.
Use your concealer to erase under-eye circles and cover any blemishes.
Apply pressed powder, in a shade matching your foundation, generously over concealer and lightly over foundation.
|
| Blush |
Apply a pink or peach blush. Apply color on the apples of your cheeks if your face is full, or higher on the cheekbones if your face is slim. Blend well.

| EYES |
|
|
| Eyelid |
Liberally apply a matte, medium brown shade on the lid. |
| Crease |
Apply a chocolate brown shadow generously in the crease from corner to corner. Blend very well.
|
| Hilite |
Use a light nude shade sparingly on the browbone. Use just enough to brighten your eyes. Blend very well.
|
| Eyeliner |
Choose a very dark brown or black/brown. Either a powder liner applied with a thin damp brush, or a soft pencil liner will work. Apply a thin line to the top lash line, from corner to corner. Get the color in between the lashes. You can try dotting your way across the lash line and then going back and filling in to create one continuous line. Repeat along the bottom lash line. Then go back over the lower lashes and make the line a little thicker, just enough until you feel glam! You can blur the line a little if you like with a cosmetic sponge or eyeliner brush. |
Brows |
Use a brow wax or powder with a small brush, or a sharp pencil, to shape and fill in. Choose a shade as close to your hair color as possible, or just a bit darker.
Start by defining the arch of each brow. Step back and look at your entire face in the mirror, and then fill in the rest of the brow as necessary.
|
Lashes |
Curl the upper lashes. Coat upper and lower lashes two or three times with a black thickening mascara.
If you want the full glam-girl effect, apply individual false lashes to the upper lid. Falsies take practice, and individual lashes are usually best ap

LIPS |
|
|
|
To get glass-smooth lips, try brushing them very gently with an old, soft toothbrush. Then apply petroleum jelly and allow it to soak in for 30 or more minutes.
Choose a delicate pink or peach lip liner and lipstick. Find a shade that works with your blush. Apply one coat of the lipstick and blot with tissue, then apply a second coat. Repeat for longer lasting power. Then, line the lips if necessary.
Top with two coats of clear gloss.
