Concealer
|
After moisturizing, apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Apply a small amount of concealer to the eyelid for a base foundation before applying shadow. Dust a small amount of face powder over the concealer to set it (just a little powder is enough).
Use a light foundation or tinted moisturizer sparingly, just to cover uneven areas. |
| Blush |
Choose a neutral-toned blush. Use a red- or orange-based shade if your coloring is warm. If your coloring is cool, opt for a pink- or peach-based shade.
Apply your blush in the style that best suits your face: if your face is round or square your blush should be applied to the apple of your cheek. If your face is more oblong or narrow, you can take blush higher on the cheekbone.
Apply blush one thin layer at a time until you have a just a hint of glow. You can add light touches of color to your temples and nose if you want a little more warmth.

| EYES |
|
|
| Eyelid |
Apply a pearly copper or apricot shadow from the lid to the crease. Next sweep this shade generously along the lower lash line.
|
| Crease |
Apply a pearly taupe or light brown shadow in the crease from corner to corner. Blend very well.
|
| Hilite |
Use a pearly champagne or light yellow-gold sparingly just under the arch of your brow. Use just enough to brighten your eyes. Blend very well.
|
| Eyeliner |
Choose a light brown eyeliner shade if your coloring is warm. If your coloring is cool, you might be better using light or medium gray. Use a powder and apply with a thin damp brush.
Apply a VERY thin line to the top lash line, from corner to corner. Use a VERY light touch and get the color in between the lashes. You can try dotting your way across the lash line and then going back and filling in to create one continuous line.
Line only the upper lashes.
If necessary, lighten the line by lightly dabbing it with a cosmetic sponge. This works better right after liner has been applied and is still a little damp.
Finally, trace a super-thin, delicate line around the inner corners of the eyes for a professional look.
|
Brows |
Use a brow wax, with a small brush to shape and fill in, or use a sharp pencil. Start by defining the arch and then fill in the rest as necessary.
|
Lashes |
Curl lashes and coat two or three times with a black, lengthening mascara. |
LIPS |
|
|
|
If your lips need softening, try brushing them very gently with an old, soft toothbrush. Then apply petroleum jelly and allow it to soak in for 30 or more minutes.
Choose a pearly copper or apricot lipliner. For lip color use a golden taupe or beige.
Apply one coat of the lipstick and blot with tissue, then apply a second coat. Then, line the lips if necessary. Cover your lips with a coat or two of clear or frosty gloss.
