Rebecca Romijn-Stamos plays the uber femme fatale.
When high drama is in order, nothing beats the smokey eye. The trick to keeping this look classy is in playing down the rest of the face. Here, Rebecca goes all the way with gold, smokey eyes. Her face and lips stay neutral. Is it just us, or is it hot in here?

FACE |
| Foundation /
Concealer
After moisturizing, apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Apply a small amount of concealer to the eyelid for a base foundation before applying shadow. Dust a small amount of face powder over the concealer to set it (just a little powder is enough).
Use a foundation shade as close to your natural skin tone as possible and apply to any other areas of the face that need evening out. Blend well.
| Blush |
Use a peach or pink shade of blush, depending upon which compliments your skintone better. Orange-based tones work good with warm complexions, while pink-based colors are usually better on cool complexions.
You should apply your blush in the style that best suits your face. Round faces look better with blush applied to the apple of the cheek, while narrower faces can take blush on the cheekbone. Apply blush one light layer at a time until you have a delicate glow.
| EYES |
| Eyelid |
Apply a light, pearly blue to just your lid, stopping just before the crease (you can choose a different shade that matches your own eye color if you like). Sweep a very small amount of this shadow under your lower lashes.
| Crease |
Apply a warm, pearly gold in the crease. Sweep around and apply a small amount of this color under the lower lashes.
| Hilite |
Apply just a dot of the same blue that you used on your lids just below the brow and blend well.
| Eyeliner |
Choose a medium or dark brown powder liner or eyeshadow. Use a wet brush dipped in the powder to apply.
Apply a thin line to the top lash line, from corner to corner. Use a light touch and get the color in between the lashes. You can try dotting your way across the lash line and then going back and filling in to create one continuous line.
Now go back over the outer two-thirds of the upper lash line and subtly widen the line more and more as you get to the outer corner. This takes practice. Now you have the classic cat-eye look!
If you really like this look and have some time, you can experiment with different widths and with extending the outer corner to a narrow point to create an even more dramatic look.
Line the lower lash line just in between the lashes. Apply a delicate, thin line. Just enough to define the eye. Finally, trace a super-thin, delicate line around the inner corners of the eyes for a professional look.
Brows |
Use a brow wax, with a small brush to shape and fill in, or use a sharp pencil. Start by defining the arch and then fill in the rest as necessary.
Lashes |
Curl lashes and coat two or three times with a black, lengthening mascara. |
LIPS |
If your lips need softening, try brushing them very gently with an old, soft toothbrush. Then apply petroleum jelly and allow it to soak in for 30 or more minutes.
Choose a matching lipliner and lipstick in a neutral peach or pink. Find a shade that coordinates nicely with your blush and compliments your skin tone.
Apply one coat of the lipstick and blot with tissue, then apply a second coat. Then, line the lips if necessary. Cover your lips with a coat or two of clear or frosty gloss.
