FACE
Foundation / Concealer Start with clean, exfoliated skin. After allowing moisturizer to soak in, apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Apply a small amount of concealer to the eyelid as an eyeshadow base.

Use a light foundation or tinted moisturizer sparingly, just to cover blotches.
Blush Apply a light bronzer where the sun would normally tan your face. Use bronzer sparingly, a little at a time. Blend well.
EYES
Eyelid Apply a pearly golden-beige or taupe color from the lid to the crease.
Crease Apply a pearly light brown shadow in the crease from corner to corner. Blend very well.
Hilite Use a pearly shade of cream lightly on the browbone. Use just enough to brighten your eyes. Blend very well.
Eyeliner Choose a light brown shade if your coloring is warm. If your coloring is cool, you might be better using light or medium gray. Use a powder liner with a thin damp brush.

Apply a VERY thin line to the top lash line, from corner to corner. Use a VERY light touch and get the color in between the lashes. You can try dotting your way across the lash line and then going back and filling in to create one continuous line.

Repeat all the way around the eye, top and bottom lashes, until your lash line is just filled in. Keep the line thin and light. It should just serve to “pop” your eyes and make the lashes more pronounced.

If necessary, lighten the line by lightly dabbing it with a cosmetic sponge. This works better right after liner has been applied and is still a little damp.

Finally, trace a super-thin, delicate line around the inner corners of the eyes for a professional look.
Brows Use a brow wax or powder with a small brush, or a sharp pencil, to shape and fill in. Choose a shade as close to your hair color as possible, or just a bit darker.

Start by defining the arch of each brow. Step back and look at your entire face in the mirror, and then fill in the rest of the brow as necessary.
Lashes Curl the upper lashes. Coat upper and lower lashes two or three times with a black, lengthening mascara.

For evening, you might consider applying single false lashes strategically along the top lashes. This helps “pop” the eyes even more. Be sure to practice with lashes before the big night!

LIPS
To get glass-smooth lips, try brushing them very gently with an old, soft toothbrush. Then apply petroleum jelly and allow it to soak in for 30 or more minutes.

Choose a matching heather lip liner and lipstick. Find a shade that works with your skin tone. Orange-based colors are fine for warm complexions. Cooler complexions look best in pink or mauve-based colors.

Apply one coat of the lipstick and blot with tissue, then apply a second coat. Repeat for longer lasting power. Then, line the lips if necessary. Top with a coat of clear gloss.
