Is there anyone out there who doesn’t know this Diva’s name? The lead singer for Destiny’s Child isn’t just a front. She sings, she writes, she acts, she even produces. And, she’s gorgeous! Recreate Beyonce Knowles’s fly-girl look with these BeautyRiot tips. |
FACE |
| Foundation / Concealer
To create your own fly-girl look, first start with a flawless canvas. Even if you don’t have incredible skin like Beyonce’s, you can look like you do. After applying moisturizer, dab small amounts of foundation with the tip of your finger to areas of the skin that need evening out. Work in small areas, using a fanning, upward motion. Just even out your skins natural color, don’t cover your entire face.
Once you’ve applied your foundation, use your fingertips or a brush with a pointed tip to apply concealer. Apply under the eyes and on any spots or blemishes. For eyes, use downward, curved strokes, going no further under the eye than halfway towards the outer corner. Set concealer by lightly blotting a pressed powder. |
| Blush |
To get that glowing, just came off the dance floor look, lightly apply a bronzer to your temples, top of nose, chin and forehead with a large brush. Focus on the parts of your face where the sun would naturally hit.
For additional color, BeautyRiot suggests using a cream rose or brick red blush. Apply it with your fingers to the apples of your cheeks and follow cheekbone back in an upward sweeping motion. If you get a dual blush/lip product, you can use this color on your lips as well. Set with a light dusting of powder, if you want.

| EYES |
| Eyelid | Start with a concealer or an eye base to prime the lid. Use a shadow brush with a tapered head to apply a rose-pink shadow to the entire lid. Then brush a small amount of this shade underneath lower lashes. You might find it easier to do this step using a smaller brush.
| Crease |
Using a crease or contour brush, apply a deeper rose or brown-pink in the crease of the eye to create depth. Start towards the inner corner of the eye and follow the socked to the outer edge of the eye. If you have a lot of space between your eye socket and your brow, take the color to just beneath the brow, leaving space under the outer edge of the brow for hilite. |
| Hilite |
Use a cream or pale pink to hilite eyes. Brush color underneath the arch of your brow to the outer edge and in the inner corner of your eye. You can also use this shade under your lower lashes from the inner corner to just before the middle of the eye to make eyes look bigger. |
| Eyeliner |
Line eyes with a soft brown pencil. Line the entire lid all the way from the outer corners to the inner corners of the eye. Work the liner in between lashes, to make eyes "pop."
Brows |
Beyonce has perfectly manicured brows. If you have thick brows, try having them professionally waxed or tweezed to get an arch that’s perfect for your face. Try applying a brow gel or wax to shape and hold your brows in picture perfect form.
Mascara |
After curling your lashes, use several coats of a black mascara to make lashes impossibly thick and long. |
LIPS |
The warm, natural colors on the rest of Beyonce's face carry through to her lips. Line with a brown-red lip liner and color with rose or brown-red lipstick. To give lips that extra shine, apply a pink lip polish or gloss.
