Lucy shows off the easy glamour of red lipstick and black eyeliner. This look is right for all occasions, day or night. Create your own classic palette:

FACE
Foundation / concealer Use concealer under eyes and in the inner corners to erase darkness. Also put on any blemishes or ruddy areas of complexion. Blend using a sponge.

To capture an all over glow, try a light application of bronzer or self-tanner over the entire face. Don't over do it, though.
Blush Use a small amount of plum or rosy red. Apply to the apple of the cheek and along cheekbone if your face is not round or square. Blend well.

  EYES
Eyelid Apply a pearl gray or taupe to the entire lid and lightly under bottom lashes.
Crease Use a soft, matte mauve or rose in the crease.
Hilite Apply a pearly light pink or shell on the entire browbone. You can add a small touch under lower lashes-just below the gray or taupe. Blend well, if you do. Also, you can add a dot of this shade to the inner corner of the eyes to brighten, be sure to blend again.
Eyeliner Use charcoal gray or black liquid to line lashes. Liquid liner takes finesse. Practice before using it "for real."

Start on the upper lashline, at the inner corner. Begin with a whisper thin line, close to the lashes (in fact, in between them if possible). Progressing toward the outer corner of the eye, allow the line to thicken gradually (but still blending it right into the lashes, themselves).

Finish the line with a point that angles up slightly and extends just past the outer corner of the eye (think of an bird's wing). Practice this technique to find just how much of a "wing" at what angle looks best on you. Everyone is different.

You can do this with a very sharp pencil, too, which makes it easier to correct mistakes, but looks less "classic."

For the lower lashline, dot the liner in between lashes and then blur with a sponge. The idea is simply to create the illusion of thicker lashes and to keep the eyes from being "top heavy."
Mascara Try using false eyelashes on the upper lid. If this look is for daytime, stick to just a couple coats of black mascara.
Brows Fill and define brows with a dark brown powder. Concentrate on the top of the arch of the brow.

  LIPS
Line lips with a warm red pencil and fill in with a lip brush, using a bright red.
